Bardock is the father of both Goku and Radditz. He was one of Freiza's best saiyan warriors. While on the planet Kanassa, Bardock acquired the ability to foresee the future. He sees the destruction of Planet Vegeta by Freiza's hands along with his son Goku's future. Bardock attempts to fight Frieza to save his son and home world, but unfortunately he was no match for Frieza and was destroyed along with planet Vegeta. In his last moment of life Bardock saw his son defeating Freiza and he knew he had been the father of a true Super Saiyan!
